Estate find.
Attached note says, "This is an actual part of a P-47 Thunderbolt that crashed near Millville, NJ during WW2. Your generous contribution will help us continue with our research work throughout the country."
The piece is rusty and measures about 4" long. I have no idea what part of the airplane it is!
