Vintage Indian silver AMULET painting LORD GANESHA

Description

Early 20th century Indian silver amulet with gouache painting of the Lord Ganesha sealed under glass and with 2 loops on top for hanging. Ganesha is seated under a tree in front of a lotus pond: he is the remover of obstacles, and thus is worshipped before any new undertaking. He bestows good luck on his worshippers, and is invoked in marriage ceremonies and in some forms of Tantric worship. Very good quality bright painting, the frame is made out of low grade silver, in excellent condition. Diameter 2 inches.
