    RARE Lenci Sweeper Doll

    Rare... Turquoise Felt Windowpane Dress (Red was the most common color.)
    Original Clothing Intact
    Missing the straw broom.
    Her sweet little wide-eyed painted face has pale-blue eyes, reddish-brown upper lashes and brows, a hint of rosy cheeks and painted lips. Stitched-on ears are single-layer felt, and her three-braid blonde mohair is stitched separately to her scalp. Felt head and arms swivel at neck and shoulders on the excelsior-stuffed cloth body with cloth legs disc-jointed at the hips. Usually seen in cream with red, Little Sweeper has rarer turquoise felt windowpane-check, with matching bows on her braids and scallops trimming her crisp cotton apron, separate petticoat and bloomers. Scallop-top cotton knit Lenci socks and turquoise felt shoes complete this precious collectible.
    See photos for details and condition. I've had her packed away for almost 50 years and she has never been exposed to dampness. I never played with her. Just loved her.
