Kollsman Altimeter WW2**WITH ORIGINAL BOX AND SCALE CORRECTION CARD**.
Manufactured by Kollsman Instrument Division of Square D Company, Elmhurst, NY.
Someone put a piece of tape over the opening at the bottom, I have not tried to remove it. It looks like one small screw head has been broken off on the underside as shown in photo. Knob turns, but hard, so I only tried it once.

ORIGINAL BOX! Top left reads “WAR DEPARTMENT AAF FORCES NO.99 Approved May 6, 1942” Much of the written/typed info below is extremely faded but under bright light some of it can still be read. Date tested and inspected reads “21 Ma 1945” and if in storage after reads “….1946”. Box is OLD and smells like a 75 plus year old cardboard box would. Old!
ORIGINAL ALTIMETER SCALE CORRECTION CARD! A rare find indeed. It is dated 21-3-45, possibly 42 but I believe it is 45. It is folded on one corner and definitely shows it’s age but is mostly legible.
