Grand Duchess Anastasia Nicholaievna is a limited edition porcelain and wood art doll from the 1998 Royalty Collection of Wendy Lawton. This doll is limited to #68/250. Anastasia is approximately 16 inches tall. She has porcelain head and hands on a hand-carved, spring-jointed wooden body. She has auburn hair and is dressed in pink dupion silk with striped silk chiffon overlay trimmed in silk piping. Her pearl encrusted headpiece is of a crinkled irid
escent silk to match her sash. She wears pink leather shoes.
The story of Anastasia Romanov continues to intrigue since the tragic fall of imperial Russia. Her untimely and tragic death is covered in mystery, but her brief life is told to us in photographs, drawings and letters which give us an intimate glimpse at the funny, artistic, sensitive girl.
