    Description

    I drafted this CONSTANCE Dress pattern from an original dress of the 1860s, see pictures.  I developed the pattern parts with the help of diagrams from the Original "Godey's Lady's Book" and "Peterson's Magazine" books.  (The size chart was based on a 1940s chart so the sizes are different from ours.)  Just pick out the size that matches you the best according to the size chart shown and order that size.  Each pattern has 2 sizes on it. The patterns are printed on 20lb writing paper so will last for many uses.  There are directions with diagrams and there are additional note and instructions on each pattern piece.  All you have to do is cut out the paper pattern, lay  it on your fabric, cut it out, an Start Sewing an authentic 1860s Civil War era dress.  (Made and sold by Heidi Marsh Patterns.  Complete catalog of my nearly 100 C.W. clothing patterns will be included.)
